Dear and Gentle Citizens of Carlton Landing

Several very important Special Meetings and Public Hearings are scheduled within the next weeks. We are very very close to finalizing the work necessary to move into the final stages of forming a TIF District in Carlton Landing. As you may remember, having a TIF district is a way of capturing some of our property tax money and redirecting it back to Carlton Landing. We can use that money for special projects within the Town. (The projects must comply with laws that govern the use of TIF funds).

Two Public Hearings are scheduled. The first hearing is primarily for information sharing and will give you an opportunity to ask questions about the TIF. The first meeting will be on August 25, 2015 at 8:00 A.M. At the second hearing on September 5, 2015 at 8:00 A.M. the Trustees will gather information about your opinion of creating the TIF prior to their voting on the Resolution to form the TIF.

This is an historic time for our little Town. Thank you for your participation in its’ development.

Meetings will be held at School Building 2 in Carlton Landing on both days.
